Happy 20th Birthday Sonic

Where to start. I finally came up with something worth giving back to the Blue Blur. 20 years he's been around, and he's been called one of the greatest gaming icons.

Ah, I want to make this a bit more sentimental, seeing as Sonic is an all time favorite of mine. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was the first game I played. I remember just a little... playing on someone else's hand held Genesis? lawls I wish I could remember it fully. I just remember having to go against Eggman on the first level. Memories are shot to hell, but that's like one of my earliest memories. Since then I just know I was in love with Sonic. He was the best for me.

Though I hardly remember any of his 2D games, his 3D ones made such a huge impact on me. It made me love him more. A good reason as to why I DON'T, just DON'T, understand why people bitch about the "modern" look. Did Sonic really change that much??? I mean, his colors darkened, became more vivid, his eyes were green (also shown in one of the earlier games), he was slimmer and had longer quills. I never understood the bullshit arguments against that. Sonic was and will always be, just Sonic to me. He's never changed THAT much to consider his "retro" look and "modern" look to be two different entities.

I find it funny that most people say Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle for some) was their fav Sonic game. I can understand why. It was awesome! I loved it. I know for a fact, one of my favorite Sonic games was Sonic Shuffle. It hurts to know not many know of that game since Dreamcast was a complete blow. It was Sonic's response to Mario party games... people gave them shit about that when someone FROM MARIO PARTY helped out with that one. It was challenging and they complained it was "too hard". Bullshit. Nearly finished the game only the Dreamcast broke down so we couldn't. If a kid can do it, you fucking game critics can too. Either way, that game was completely amazing and fun. And if SEGA made another one, I will shit so many bricks it'll create a new Empire State Building.

But enough on random rants. I just wanna celebrate the hedgehog's bday. I jumped the Generations wagon and made this. I love the idea of Sonic seeing his younger self. It's so cute to imagine since "Retro" Sonic is so tiny and plump. I just keep thinking Sonic would pick him up and show him to everyone, but lol both are too cocky for that shit XD Even though I see these two as one, its an awesome idea. I hope this satisfies the trolling bastards that call themselves "fans". Sonic's been through so much. He deserves much more praise, and better fans that aren't nit-picky on every goddamn glitch, control, or even voice over. I admit I was bitchy on the voices for 5 years, and I was actually getting use to GRiffith's... even if it pained me, Sonic was still Sonic. Now that Smith is here, OH MY GAAAAAWDDDD~~ I don't have ANYTHING to bitch about ; D With the exception of Vector's voice. NO ONE CAN TOP HIS FIRST *sob*

BUT. Seeing the gameplay for this game OSLBMFDLKBNKFDLZBNLKFDZNBLKFDZBNLKF I WANT IT. Sonic, you amaze me! I love you so much okay? You're my favorite gaming icon, whether your games are considered "bad" to the majority of America, whether you're under Mario here, whether you change into a human for some fucking weirdass reason, ANYTHING is acceptable to me. I say this cause I don't mind new ideas. Werehog was weird as fuck, but it didn't matter too much when watching cutscenes, playing the game (though at times it was annoying) it was still Sonic. One of the only characters, I don't mind weirdass exceptions for. I honestly hope people can love Sonic like they use to. Learn to move on. Sonic you deserve so much more. You've been with me since I held a game at all. I know you're fictional, but fuck it, you're real to me. I remember believing you were my imaginary friend XD I'd show off to friends and say "oh lookit Sonic go! Oh wait, he's back again~"

Even now I collect what Sonic things I can. Hoping to get a kickass wallet soon You shall forever remain my favorite. I love you, man. I would love to make you more art. You're just... amazing. I love you so much ;w; Your music is unchallenged. It's too great XD Your music has cheered me up over the years, sent chills through me. Given me a new appreciation for music. Another part of my imagination to explore.

JUST YOU AS A CHARACTER MAKES ME SQUEAL. THERE. I LOVE THIS CHARACTER, CAN'T YOU TELL? If Sonic were real, I would sit in the back and watch with teary eyes. I would be so happy. I hope Sonic's games will prove GOOD to the people more often. Sonic Colors was amazing and I know Generations will be too. So far its gotten good critics, so THAT MEANS the game has a future ahead. I wish people would just give him another chance. Never stop being the Blue Blur, Sonic.

Ah. Yeah. That was...more ranting than anything else. Where does the time go? I wanted to be mushy, but I remembered bullshit from fake fans and that just sent me on a tangent. ANYWAYS ; D Modern Sonic has longer hair *u* And Retro Sonic has shorter hair~~ And black eyes @w@ HNNGGG I love the eyes for both. The overall picture is a little messy to me. Linearts not perfect who cares coloring is okay... it spills out the lines in some areas, BUT HELL IT'S SONIC. OF COURSE. His colors will fall off soon from how fast he goes <3

I can't wait for this game ;w; I seriously can't. HAS ANYONE HEARD THE REMIX FOR CITY ESCAPE?!?!VDSNVFLKNBLKFDNBZL they autotuned the FUCK out of it, but it's still good : D
